MERGED AREAS EDUCATION FOUNDATION (MEF) is an autonomous organization, created under the act parliament, to deal with dismal state of education in the Merged Districts/Areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa . The vision of MEF is to provide access to enabling education though strengthening public educational delivery system and public-private partnership with focus on marginalized and the disadvantaged. FaEF works as catalyst for provision of enabling education with the motto of creating learning opportunities. The notification for establishing the Foundation was issued in December, 2004. The Honorable President of Pakistan signed Regulation 2010 of the Foundation in March, 2010.
